Pick the wrong shipping line and you’re either waiting three weeks or paying way too much. Here’s a breakdown of the main options.
YunExpress
The go-to for most buyers. YunExpress is a dedicated line carrier — they operate their own cargo planes and sorting hubs. Delivery to Europe typically runs 8–14 days. Cost is moderate. One underrated feature: YunExpress uses DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) on most routes, meaning VAT and customs duties are handled before the package leaves China. For European buyers especially, this makes a huge difference.
Best for: Most hauls to Europe, US, Canada, Australia.
EMS (Express Mail Service)
EMS is the express postal service operated through national post offices. Slightly faster than standard post but slower than dedicated carriers like YunExpress. Delivery ranges from 7–20 days. Customs handling can be inconsistent. No DDP, so you may receive customs bills.
Best for: Countries where YunExpress doesn’t have great coverage.
DHL Express
The fastest option — 2–5 days door-to-door globally. DHL handles its own customs clearance which is very reliable. The downside is cost — DHL is significantly more expensive than dedicated lines. Worth it for high-value items or time-sensitive orders.
Best for: Expensive orders, urgent delivery, tricky customs situations.
Quick Comparison
- YunExpress: 8–14 days | Moderate cost | DDP on most routes | Best overall
- EMS: 7–20 days | Moderate cost | Inconsistent customs | Good backup
