China Agent Fees Explained: What You’re Actually Paying

📅 May 15, 2026 ⏱ 2 min read

The final price you pay has several components. Understanding each one helps you compare agents accurately and avoid surprises.

Product Price

The actual price listed on Weidian or Taobao, converted to your currency. This doesn’t change between agents — it’s the raw item cost from the seller.

Agent Service Fee

Most agents charge a percentage of the product price — typically 5–10%. This covers purchasing on your behalf, warehousing, QC, and platform maintenance.

Domestic Shipping (China)

The cost of the seller shipping your item to the agent’s warehouse within China. Usually small — ¥5–15 per item.

International Shipping

The biggest variable cost. Calculated based on actual weight or volumetric weight (whichever is higher) and your chosen shipping line.

Optional Add-Ons

  • QC photos: Some agents charge, some include free
  • Vacuum packing: Usually $1–3 per item
  • Shoe box removal: Usually free or minimal
  • Shipping insurance: Optional, worth it for high-value orders

Total Cost Calculation

Typical breakdown: Product price + service fee (5–8%) + domestic shipping + international shipping. Use our Link Converter to quickly get the same item on all 8 agents and compare fees.
